I'm sure there are tons of Ed Sheeran fans out there, and me and Trisha are one of them. Trisha watched one of Ed Sheeran's music videos, "Give Me Love". The music video felt inspiring for one of our shoots and Trisha insists on having a shoot like the music video. And we did :)
Trisha suggested we have the shoot on top of a roof. We can barely find a proper roof but Seth helped us out by finding this place, which is perfect. So on that day, I went to meet up with Trisha and Seth drove us there. Then we met up with Damien.
The place was also abandoned so it was very quiet, and very creepy. We went up to the highest floor and and had to climb a little to get to the top. I was afraid of heights so I was squealing a little (haha, Trisha too pfft). When we made it on top, Trisha wore her angel wings and took out the bow and arrows that we handmade the day before. The music video involved love, so we added a little romance into the shoot.
The music video deals with the idea of Cupid. Cupid is seen watching over couples, she is then seen using her bow and arrows to ignite people's passion for each other. So after watching many human intimate displays through her work, Cupid becomes overwhelmed with the need to find someone of her own to love and for them to love her in return. She tries to remove her wings, pulling a feather from her back (reminiscent of a scene in Black Swan) and toys with one of her arrows. The end of the video echoes the beginning, a cop is seen going into a crime scene which turns out to be Cupid's lair. It is revealed that she stabbed herself with her own arrow and is seemingly dead. However, her arrows are not lethal, they just make you fall in love, so when the cop leans in for a closer look, the love effect of the arrow makes her wake up, and it is implied that she will fall in love with him since he's the first person she sees upon waking.
Yes, I found that description on Wikipedia.
These are my best/favourite shots:
And this one was one of my favourites :3
After that, we climbed back down and went into the building. It was surprisingly big, as there were a lot of rooms. Then we found this big, round window.
After that, we had some shots by the balcony. Gotta say, Seth is very photogenic (haha).
We would definitely revisit the place again for other photoshoot ideas.
Thank you for reading.
